Linda Gottlieb

Setting new trends in training and motivation, speaker, author, personal trainer, cancer exercise trainer, wellness educator and active lifestyle coach, Linda Gottlieb has an extensive career in the fitness industry. She has developed and presented hundreds of group exercise/wellness classes, has been director of a 30,000 square foot full service health club, and has managed fitness facility projects for luxury hotels.

Along with traditional in-home personal fitness training, Linda specializes in engaging 1:1 and group coaching, also experienced in incorporating medically challenged individuals and those seeking to improve their health and life with exercise.

For over 30 years, Linda has been recognized as:

•A knowledgeable fitness educator and frequent presenter on health and wellness topics for companies, organizations and resort properties
•An excellent relationship builder and trainer in group and 1:1 settings- customer service zealot
•An effective facilitator of national behavior change initiative, choreographer and presenter of safe, effective and fun aerobic and anaerobic exercise programs, events and activities presented to hundreds of participants from age 8 to 80 through local, corporate, hotel locations and adult health education programs.
 

One of the first nationally certified Cancer Exercise Trainers sanctioned by the American Council of Sports Medicine and the American Cancer Society, Linda is also the first certified Cooper Institute Active Living Every Day behavior change program facilitator in the state of Connecticut. She is currently on staff at Yale University as a cancer exercise trainer on gynecological cancer clinical trials.

Linda received the Presidential Sports Award in 1988 and 2003, holds multiple industry certifications from IDEA, ACE, and AFAA, and is a member of The American Institute of Fitness Educators, The Association of Fitness by Phone® Coaches and Reebok Instructor Alliance. As a veteran Certified Personal Trainer, she was selected to be featured on the cover of Personal Fitness Professional magazine in 2007.

As a frequent speaker, Linda champions daily fitness activity, the connection between food and mood, and realistic, positive perceptions of an individual’s body image. Her youthful and "doable" approach to fitness makes her a sought after speaker- her three most popular talks:Lose Weight Like a Guy, Avoid Invisible Women Syndrome and What's Good for Your Waistline is Good for Your Bottom Line. Linda also offers fun, flexible fitness and physical activity programs such as Best of X, P90x primer set to music, Retro Robics,Zen Walking and "OM" Yoga, all customizable to short or long formats. Her first book, No Ifs Ands or Butts -Turning the Top 10 Exercise Excuses into Fitness Triumphs is already receiving praise and being enjoyed by people who are looking for realistic fitness solutions.
