Courtney Klocke combines her skills from the medical field with her passion for movement to provide whole body wellness to her clients. Courtney's experience includes a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Science with a focus of anatomy/physiology and human medicine. She emphasized in health and wellness by obtaining several movement certifications:
Stott Pilates Certification which is an anatomically based approach to the original exercise method pioneered by Joseph Pilates. It incorporates modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles, eliminating contraindicated movements, while emphasizing neutral alignment, core stability and peripheral mobility.
Barre Bliss, Barre Certification which is a combinations of ballet barre, Pilates and Yoga to create a challanging total body workout.
ACE certified personal trainer which gives trainers further knowledge and ability to screen individuals for risk factors, as well as assess their fitness and nutrition level. This qualifies Courtney to create specific exercise programs with appropriate progression, while giving safe instruction and spotting.
NESTA Run Coach Certification with an emphasis on correct running function and form for beginner to intermediate level runners.
Courtney's career path started in Pathology (study of disease). She found Pathology fascinating, yet discouraging, in the mere fact that our entire nation is unwell. Unwell by means of poor health caused from lack of nutrition, uncontrolled stress, sleep deprivation, addictions, and overall bad habits. It was in Pathology Courtney realized how many of us are cursed with our bad habits and how many of us lack the knowledge to change these habits to create balance in our lives. Courtney hit a turning point in her career in 2004 and decided to make the transition from the treatment side of health to the preventative side. The preventative side gives YOU control, whereas the treatment side gives the control to the medication or the surgeon. The body works as a whole. If one part of the body is not at equilibrium it will take from another part, creating an imbalance. Bodies are fighting for balance, and Courtney is passionate about helping her clients find their own.
Courtney found her own balance through Pilates. Pilates is an intelligent exercise, focusing from the inside out, utilizing the breath and inner core balance to create movement. Pilates truly united Courtney's mind with her body, and opened up pathways she didn’t know existed. It all started with body awareness! From there, her purpose had awakened. Courtney's purpose is to build a connection with each client to uncover his/her motivational strategies, wellness goals, anxieties and behaviors, thus recreating a life they desire from the foundation up. It all starts with her constant guidance, support, and inspiration. Combine that with her client's perseverance results in success!
