I have always had a fervent love for music and fitness. This combination has led me down the path to becoming a Zumba®Fitness Instructor.
I have a strong desire and passion to inspire people to enrich their quality of life by aligning their mind, body, and soul in an exciting, exhilarating, and fun filled workout! I’m a firm believer that when you nourish the three, you become a well-balanced healthy and happy person. My commitment to my students is to introduce them to this energy. In each of my classes I create a positive mindset that reflects the imagery, that I can do all things, if I put my mind to it!
My professional and personal history;
Donna Balducci’s combination of administrative skills and musical background brought her to Westminster Choir College of Rider University.
Prior to coming to Student Affairs, Donna had 25 years of administrative experience. She was a co-owner and business office manager of Island Music Studios and retail store. There she hired and provided orientation and training to the staff, evaluated employee job performance, implemented policies, contracts, procedures and curriculum. She also designed logos, brochures, business cards, flyers for sales and presentations and organized events for music shows and recitals. In addition, she worked for the New York City Police Department, Monmouth County Vocational School and Montessori Academy.
Donna Balducci’s musical background stems from her musician, songwriting father, who introduced her to the world of music at an early age. Since she was raised in a musical family, piano, guitar and voice lessons were always a part of the Balducci household. By the age of 14 she studied Italian opera and piano. She also studied Music Therapy and Music Education at Queensborough Community College and Rutgers University. For seven years she studied guitar with guitarist Mike Flyntz from the band “Riot” at Guitar Masters in Long Island, New York. She was also a Youth Music Director at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge for seven years, and also played and sang in the praise band. Her love of children and teaching music brought her to Montessori Academy for three years. In addition, for nine years she was a co-business owner of a music instructional studio and retail store and there she also taught private and group lessons. For many years she has performed in local bands around the tri-state area and the New Jersey shore.
Currently Donna is the Lead Guitar/Keyboardist/Vocalist in the Band Shure Shotz and Lead Guitarist/Vocalist/Stand in Worship Leader at Princeton Meadow Church.
Donna received her Associate of the Arts Degree and is currently enrolled in the College of Continuing Studies, working towards her BA in Psychology.
