What do you want? That is the main question I ask of my clients. What do you want to do? What do you want to gain from this time together? What motivates you? What is your ultimate goal? Once we discuss the answers to these questions we can get to work. Although this process can take some time and evolve over time with regular clients, it can also be done in a matter of a few minutes before beginning any workout.
Starting this way creates the right environment with the right results for a satisfied client. I can accommodate the "I'm on holiday and just want to be able to say I saw the inside of the gym" with simple stretches and light weights or easy Zumba. I can also meet the needs of the client who wants to 'Bring it!" with a boot camp they won't forget.
I can rock it with some Guns-N-Roses or swing it with some Bobby Darin. Clients are not all the same so neither is my style.
