Linda Carter

I have always had a love for dance and fitness.  Although starting to dance late in high school, I had a natural ability  to learn concepts and technique quickly.  Throughout the years I have always been in the gym working out but not giving it much thought.  Not until 2007, when my girlfriend approached me and suggested that I get my instructors license, I realized this is what I wanted to do.  My passion and respect for this industry has grown immensely. 

In 2007 I became a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through American Council on Exercise (ACE).  I then began teaching a core class that I designed and developed, called Kinetic Core which integrates my background experience in dance.  Kinetic Core develops awareness of physical alignment through fun, challenging and energetic balancing exercises set to current music. 

I then became certified in Body Pump in 2010, through Les Mills International.  This class focuses on strength training, using your own barbell and weights. It's the original 60-minute workout.  

Currently I am studying through International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) to earn my AS in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Personal Training.  I expect to have a CFT in May, 2013.
