I had taken dance since I was three years old. Unsure what to do after my dancing days came to an end I searched for a new form of exercise. After trying a yoga class at the local gym I found my passion and calling. Within a few years of trying my first yoga class I signed up for a teacher training. I traveled down to Clearwater, Florida, where I completed my 200 hour teacher training. Anala Yoga was an ashtanga based program which focused on vinyasa flow teaching style. After receiving my teacher training I traveled to Miami to receive training to teach in prenatal and postnatal yoga classes. Due to moving for my husband's job I was unable to teach in a studio. I offered private classes and took several different styles of yoga to include: Bikram, Baptiste, and restorative yoga. During my own pregnancy I took Barkan based hot yoga classes and began a work study with the studio. After the birth of my son I was finally able to teach yoga in a studio. While I am not certified in the Barkan method I adopted the teaching style. We are always traveling and the idea of teaching in wonderful locations fills my heart with joy.
