My personal fitness journey began in 2003 when I joined the US Army. My core beliefs and fitness philosophies stem from my six years of active duty service. When I returned from Iraq in 2007, my unit appointed me as their Master Fitness instructor. My responsibilities included planning and implementing a fitness regiment that enhanced my unit's day to day effectiveness and combat readiness. Additionally, ensuring personnel met the standards set forth by Army regulations. I was honorably discharged in 2009. As I attempted to adjust to civilian life, I continued to pursue my own fitness goals while working as a carpenter. In 2012, I attended a personal training workshop and received my first certification (AAAA/ISMA) and I began working at LA Fitness as a personal trainer. Since then I've become a Master Trainer (LA Fitness), Certified Personal Trainer through NASM, Kettlebell level 1&2 through NETA.
