After having my daughter in 2004, I realized one of the most important things that I could teach her is that fitness is a way of life, that it isn't work...it is play!  Kids naturally have this attitude which is why they are so fun to teach.  The trick is being able to hold onto that attitude as an adult. As a teacher I try to help those adults find their inner kid playfullness when it comes to fitness.  So when I started Atlanta SUP (standup paddleboard) Yoga it was the perfect answer.  On the water you can't take yourself too seriously.  All of a sudden, adult pilates and yoga classes felt playful like teaching a kids class. Practicing yoga or pilates on a paddleboard brings a whole new perspective to being fully present.  On the board you can't let your strong side do all the work.  Each pose must be entered into with a strong central focus and balance. It requires awareness, acceptance of mother natures mood and a sense of humor!

I currently teach kids and adults, paddling, yoga and pilates through Atlanta SUP Yoga. It is with much gratitude and pleasure that I am able to share this!  Namaste.
