Karen Sherwood, RYT,NC,HHP,
is a vinyasa yoga teacher, nutrition consultant, and holistic health expert, board-certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She holds a B.F.A. in Performing arts/Communications from Emerson College and has over 15 years of experience in the wellness industry. She has worked alongside doctors, trainers, acupuncturists, herbalists, and chiropractors specializing in customized, whole-food nutrition programs, meal planning, supplementation, detoxification, yoga, and lifestyle counseling.
Most recently, Karen served as staff nutritionist and yoga instructor at a live in, international, “biggest loser” style weight loss boot camp in Los angeles and provided well-rounded, and sustainable health &weight loss programs, motivational group lectures, grocery store tours, one-on-one counseling and private yoga instruction.
She is contributor to several online publications including Yoga Journal, Mind/body green, and Active.com. Her number one motto is stay present and laugh at yourself at least once a day. Needless to say, it’s important to keep her clients well informed, well fed, and well entertained!
She teaches music yoga flow classes with inspirational coffee-house hits, core yoga vinyasa, as well as restorative.
