Training Philosophy:

My personal training philosophy is to partner with an individual to motivate, educate and encourage in reaching established health and fitness goals.  Accountability, balance and consistency are keys to success and are foundational in my approach. 

When training individuals, I focus on strength and cardiovascular conditioning by utilizing principles of functional and interval training as it applies to their personal goals.  Providing materials to assist in training and tracking closes the loop in managing success of a fitness program.

Performing health and fitness assessments allows me to ascertain existing health risk factors and current fitness levels in order to begin creating short and long term plans.  Goal setting is an important step in creating a successful strategy.  

I have had success training groups who are motivated by a social network, competition and diversity.  I utilize an outward bound approach that incorporates a bootcamp style with full body circuits, cardio conditioning and flexibility.  

Personal Interests:

I have a passion for making fitness fun and spend time planning, organizing and participating in fitness events locally and nationally. I love to spend time with family and friends - they rejuvenate me - taking road trips, reading, travel, whitewater rafting. There is plenty left on my bucket list to check off and I’m always looking for more to add to the list!
