I have struggled with my weight my entire life. After my first son, I decided I needed to be a better role model and began taking Jazzercise classes. Fast forward four years and another son, I became a Jazzercise instructor. I also started running and have ran one marathon and six half marathons since 2009. I became a personal trainer and have sever sucessful clients. Unfortunately, I got divorced and had to get a full time job. I had to give up Jazzercise but after two years, I simply missed helping others. This is why I became a licensed Zumba instructor, to get back into group fitness so I can "give back". I have lost 90 pounds and have maintained my goal weight for over nine years. I feel I can relate to all clientele I encounter and they appreciate the fact that I am "real". I am a person who still struggles with my weight, finding time to get in my long runs, balancing family and career, and finding time for me at the end of the day. I use this to make sure the one hour I give to my students is their hour. Not a time to gripe and complain but a positive environment to build each person up and applaud the fact they made time for themselves.
