TANJARIITTA (pronounced ‘Tan-ya-ree-tah’)
In addition to being a certified yoga teacher, Tanjariitta is a licensed clinical social worker, an expressive artist, and a hypnotherapist. She teaches both private and group yoga classes, from chronic pain patients to active athletes. She is trained in internal and external martial arts, including meditation, and she frequently applies these philosophies to her work. In the past she has also held static line skydiving instructor and pro exhibition jumper ratings. She has facilitated expressive, experiential and adventure-based workshops and provided services focusing on Healing and Wellness for the past twenty years. She has experience planning and facilitating special events, conferences, retreats, workshops and trainings for small and large audiences. Her international clientele has ranged from celebrities to inner city teens. In addition to working with people simply seeking to live healthy, joyful and conscious lives, she has experience working with individuals and groups with varied needs, from severe mental health issues to addictions.
Tanjariitta has a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from University of South Florida and a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art and Design. She received her 200 hr yoga teacher training from Vidya Jacqueline Heisel with Frog Lotus Yoga in Andalucia, Spain.
Originally from Finland, Tanjariitta has lived in Sweden, New Zealand and Florida. She currently lives in the beautiful Flathead Valley in Montana where her non-working life is filled with yoga, hiking, skiing, art, skydiving and motorcycling. She is also in the proces of writing her first book focused on wellness and self care based on the latest in the field of neuroplasticity and our ability to change our brains.
