Growing up as an athlete, I knew that I also loved to dance. After playing varsity basketball and soccer in high school I wasn't ready to give up sports, but because of a knee injury I had to find another way to stay fit. I found Zumba and fell in love with the idea that I could combine my Latin dance training, contemporary dance moves, and fitness to stay fit. Zumba certifications: Zumba Basics Level 1 - June 2012, Zumba Basics Level 2 - March 2013, Aqua Zumba - August 2014.
In 2014 I expanded my fitness platforms and certifications by certifying in Les Mills Body Pump and obtaining the Group Fitness AFAA certification.
In May of 2017 I certified in STRONG by Zumba; which is Zumba's version of HIIT. Instead of High Intensity Interval Traiing, we call it high intensity TEMPO training!
Also, I am CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
With the combination of group fitness, water fitness, dance, and weight training I will ensure participants have a well-rounded, safe, and FUN experience!
