Isabelita Papa
Over a period of four decades, in addition to my spiritual practice, I have been creatively working with people and art hands-on as a healer, cosmetologist, massage therapist, artist and sculptor. I used my hands and arms extensively many hours each day and was a workaholic driven by my creative madness.
About twenty years ago, I experienced carpal tunnel syndrome which adversely affected my arms and hands to the point where I could barely work with them. Because of that, I discovered Qigong, which helped me heal my arms and hands without surgery due to the change in balance and lifestyle.
To my my good fortune, I was trained one-on-one by Master Hui Liu, Dr. Erlene Chiang, to be a certified teacher in the first set of Dayan Qigong and trained in the second set as well. Although my master’s training pushed me to the edge in terms of physical and mental stamina, my energy level kept increasing and growing at the same time.
After my teacher’s training, my body was never the same - my body has been positively transformed and my life changed forever.
The flowers of the teacher’s training bore fruits in so many levels of my life.
I bring those gifts to my students through teaching Qigong and I now work with balance and grace while walking the walk.
I teach in Emeryville, the San Francisco Bay area, Northern California, Mexico and Hawaii, and teach and facilitate workshops and retreats in Qigong, Pilates, Wellness and Cleanse at Harbin Hot Springs. In addition, I teach at assisted living facilities, Senior Centers and help physically challenged and cancer patients. I am a Certified Pilates Teacher, igong Restorative yoga, Credentialed by the Board of Adult Education in Physical Fitness, Art Therapy and Nutrition. I am also a Healthcare Provider in Nutritional Cleansing under the guidance of Dr. James Jameson with Health Force Nutrition
