Cindy Doody

Cindy has her Bachelor of Arts from Emerson College in Communications/Marketing. She is a 2001 graduate of Dovestar Institute of Holistic Wellness. She opened Mariposa Body Studio in Cohasset in 2008, and closed its doors to open South Shore Neuromuscular Massage and Sports Therapy in March 2013. 

It was right after the High Tech Bubble burst, Cindy chose to go back to school for massage therapy. She learned the benefits of massage while traveling to different cities for work. Massage helped Cindy sleep and relax after long plane rides. Cindy has studied with Eric Dalton (MyoAlignment), James Wazlaski (Pain Management), Aaron Mattes with AIS, and Tracy Walton (Oncology Massage).  Cindy has been a Professional member with the AMTA since 2002 and a founding member of the Fascia Research Congress since 2007.

For the past 4 years Cindy has worked as a consultant for Dana Farber to bring Integrative Therapies to their South Shore location. She also volunteers and is very connected to Dana Farber on fundraising events. 

Cindy specializes in orthopedic massage (Sport injuries, post-surgical care and work related injuries) providing treatment to all age groups. From weekend warrior to professional athletes she has worked with competitors at all levels. Cindy loves working with kids to bring them body awareness in competitive sports. She has worked with;
Tennis Masters Tour, BU Women's Soccer, BU Men's & Women's Basketball, Harvard Men’s Basketball, Nationally and Internationally ranked swimmers and coaches, cyclocross competitors, and a World Champion Irish Step Dancer. 


In addition to her office experience, Cindy volunteers annually for the Boston Marathon and many local road races and events in her community. Cindy was just named an official Affiliate Dealer for ROCKTAPE (www.rocktape.com), and Cindy is now an official "RocDoc". Similar to Kinesio tape, Cindy prefers Rocktape.
