I start dancing as a young girl; within our family reunions I was the one who would get and the center and get the rest of my family to dance with me and follow my moves. As my parents saw my talent they put me into dance class, modern Jazz and Ballroom classes. Unfortunately, due to health issues at the time I was forced to quit high intensity sports.
When I moved to Canada in 2002, I started taking fitness classes through Jazzercise; after a few months of taking the classes the owner of the place offered me to train and become an instructor. I accepted her offer, and I start teaching in 2003 (until 2006). During those years I taught Step for adults, Dance classes for children and teenagers. I really enjoyed the experience of helping others achieve their fitness goals in a fun, group based environment; and seeing the improvements on peoples' lives inspired me to take my studies of B. Sc. in Sciences specialized in Foods & Nutrition.
In 2006 I was able to train and teach at Goodlife Fitness, the largest health club company in the country. I trained through Les Mills International in a program called Body Jam, which is a dance inspired fitness class with higher level of choreography. In January of 2012 I trained with the same company in a new program called Sh'Bam, which is also a dance inspired class but this class focus more on having a fun environment, and it has been tremendously successful within the clubs. I really like this program, the music is fun, the moves are easy and the goal of exercising while you enjoy yourself is attained in every class. I teach this class with passion, and it has shown on my performance review that said I have the highest number of participants in my classes within the city.
I know I can bring this fun, energy, fitness, motivation, experience, passion and knowledge at Fitbodies if you give me the great opportunity of being part of your team.
