My name is Leslie A. Martell; I am one of the top physical fitness instructors in the Air Combat Command/Air Force. My passion for fitness began with running. My initial goal was to complete a full marathon. Since then I have completed two full marathons and multiple half marathons. Group fitness classes were always a part of my exercise schedule. My view of group fitness classes changed when I was introduced to Les Mills classes. I became a Les Mills certified Instructor and began teaching active duty, dependents and retirees. The diversity of fitness levels of the individuals in my classes is wide, therefore different levels of intensity are offered to accommodate and motivate all participants.
I am an Officer in the United States Air Force and physical fitness is a competency that is required. I led a physical fitness training regimen for 76 Airmen twice a week, focusing on core muscle strength, agility, flexibility and running endurance. I have a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and serve the United States Air Force in the Medical Field.
