Meredith Welsch

Meredith’s Style of Teaching

Meredith has a profound love of yoga and has studied many yoga traditions including Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini, Iyengar and Anusara. Meredith’s passion on her spiritual journey is continuing to study the philosophical studies of yoga, which she implements into each of her classes. Her goal is to challenge her students to incorporate the teachings of yoga into their everyday lives. Meredith draws on the wisdom of her teachers and has deep gratitude for all that have touched her heart and helped her to go deeper in her yoga practice. Her style provides a challenging workout which focuses on breath awareness and alignment. This concentration provides her students with and awareness of their own bodies enabling a safe practice and prevention of injury.

Meredith’s Educational Background
Meredith has been teaching yoga since she graduated from the training program at Naturally Yoga in June of 2008. She studied under the tutelage of Sheryl and Neil Edsall, and feels deep gratitude for having them in her life as mentors, teachers, and friends. Currently, Meredith graduated at the top of her class from the School of Social Work at Rutgers University with a masters degree in Social Work in 2011. Meredith hopes to merge the philosophy of Yoga and eastern psychology, with Western psychotherapy, ultimately using her yoga training as a part of her social work practice.  She is a licensed Social Worker in the state of NJ and works with Children and Families at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ
