I started my fitness career back in late 2005/2006 while I was in college. I got certified in Les Mills BODYSTEP(R) and started teaching classes at Lifestyle Family Fitness. Shortly after, I decided to get my Primary Group Fitness certification with AFAA so I could teach freestyle classes as well. I started to teach Boot Camp, strength circuit, cycling, and core classes. I then attended the Silver Sneakers certificationn and began teaching senior classes.
Over the next several years I continued to teach freestyle classes but also became more interested in the Les Mills certifications. I pursued several more of those certifications, giving me eight total Les Mills certifications. in 2008 I was hired to be the Office Manager for Les Mills Southeast based in Saint Petersburg, Florida. I continued teaching classes at the Lifestyle Family Fitness locations in Saint Petersburg and Lakeland, Florida.
In 2010 Les Mills Southeast was acquired by Les Mills International and I was promoted to Customer Experience Manager. I work with customers to implement and promote their group fitness classes as well as create a cohesive fitness plan for their facilities that aims to improve membership growth and retention.
In late 2011 my family moved to Birmingham, Alabama for my husband's job. I am still employed by LMEC but work remotely from my house. I currently teach Group Fitness classes (both Les Mills and freestyle) at the 3 Gold's Gyms locations in Birmingham.
