Betsey Emilien

Betsey Emilien is at the forefront of the Zumba craze. She started this form of exercise at a local gym and found herself in love with it. As time does not stand still, Ms. Emilien came to a realization that she wanted to set a goal before her next age milestone. Ms. Emilien's goal was a mix of personal and professional, she wanted to start a business that could bring in extra income but also serve others.  She named her business after her middle name Leilani- which is Hawaiian for Flower from heaven.  She believes that everyone has a flower within themselves and all flowers need water. In her class you are guaranteed to sweat, producing the water to grow that flower within.

Ms. Emilien has instructed Zumba independently in local community centers, her church, and corporate facilities in her area. She has been teaching aqua Zumba since April 2013 at the local YMCA. She instructors her class by demonstrating smooth, rhythmic motions which students follow- some seamlessly others awkwardly, but Ms., Emilien is not a style instructor, she believes in getting the best out of everyone. She enjoys meeting people and connecting with her students. Ms., Emilien comes across as a people person, she has a friendly disposition and quite a magnetic personality. Her students draw to her.
