Sara Illsley

I was born in Mexico and lived there until 12 years ago when I moved to Durango CO. I was a trained singer there, and I have found that Zumba is the continuation for my love of music and my performing ability. I started teachng in 2008 and had to do lots of hard work to get people into class because nobody knew what Zumba was around here. My classes are full with latin music (which is what I grew up dancing to) but I also love to incorporate dances from around the world and add variety to my class. I love the energy of a packed studio with people of all ages dancing together! I have taught Zumba, Zumba Toning, Aqua and will start teaching a Sentao class next month and I am also licensed to teach Gold. I love teaching Zumba because you can never tell how many calories you are burning with the fun you are having.
