After 9 years in the fitness industry, I was frustrated working in an environment that hired non credentialed trainers. In 2003, I opened my own private studio and mandated a 4 year college degree in exercise sports science, health, or nutrition. We also require a nationally accredited certification. I now have 13 professionally certified trainers, 5 of which have Masters Degrees in exercise science. My specialty is working with older adults and special populations. Our business model caters to all ages, and is one on one by appointment only. I would be a perfect fit for managing a group of trainers or providing one on one training services for all ages and special populations.
