I am a motivated, hard working, husband and father of three. I grew up in Knoxville, TN and played soccer, tennis, ran track and played football throughout my childhood. I attended the Webb School of Knoxville where I was recognized in USA TODAY for athletic/academic excellence. Although I was the captain of my high school's 1997 State Championship team, tennis has always been my real sports love. I attended The University of Pennsylvania and played both varsity football and varsity tennis. I garduated from The Wharton School with a business degree in 2002. I then taught, trained, traveled and competed in futures levels tennis. At this time I worked with Bobby Cameron, who at the time, was ranked 29th in the World ITF.  Although I loved playing tennis at this level, I soon was unable to fund the huge expenses that come with the type of training, traveling and normal expenses required for this venture. Aside from tennis, my passion is traveling. So, I then took a seasonal position in Thailand teaching English. After returning to the US, my wife soon became pregnant with our first child. I then became a lisenced real estate agent and began working for a commercial developer in the Knoxville area. When the real esatate market collpasped, my wife and I decided to take our then three year old son and follow a dream that we shared- moving to South Africa to give back to those less fortunate. We lived there a full 12 months, both working in an AIDS hospice as well as a non-profit organiztion called African Angels. When our year contract ended, we came home to Knoxville in December 2009. That is when I began teaching tennis at a local tennis club. I really enjoyed teaching tennis, however, I was offered a position with a medical technology company, coincidentally called PerfectServe, that I could not refuse. In November 2010 our second child was born and in September 2012 we became parents a third time. I am currently still employed at Perfectserve, but still teach tennis some evenings and weekends. One of my biggest priorites is coaching my seven year old son, who is currently competeing in USTA 10 and unders tournaments. Tennis will always be a part of my life and hopefully my children as well.
