Jan received her Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin--Oshkosh in 1987 with additional related course work in nutrition and weight control, adolescent health problems, drug use/abuse, and health care of the older adult.   She has been employed in a variety of hospital/clinic settings working with children, adolescents, adults and the geriatric population.  Jan was also certified for the past several years through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult Mental Health and Psychiatric Nurse.  In the past she was an educator/instructor at the Southern WI EMS Paramedic Training Program, is a CPR/AED Instructor through the American Heart Association and is trained in non-violent crisis intervention.  Volunteer work includes the United Cerebral Palsy Clinic, American Red Cross blood mobile,  Medical Staff for UW Triathalons and the WI Badger State Games.  Jan is also past President of the Rock Co. Tobacco-Free Coalition and continues to be a member today.  She is also a member of the South Central Wisconsin Association of Occupational Health Nurses and has just worked within the Chapter to form an Alliance with OSHA and this nursing group in order to prevent exposure to a variety of safety and health threats within industry in Southern Wisconsin .  She is the past Vice President of SCWAOHN and a member of WSAOHN.  She is active in the community and has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for Forward Janesville, Inc (FJI). and  the Co-Vice President of the Leadership Committee at FJI.   Jan has most recently been asked to sit on the National Health Advisory Board for the Wellness Councils of America and the Dane County Medical Reserve Corps.  Jan is also an active board member and volunteer for HealthNet of Rock County, Inc.  Grainger brought Ms. Witt on board in 1994 where she is responsible for the Emergency Response/First Aid program, Benefits Administration, Co-chairs the Safety Team, and coordinates the health promotion and injury prevention efforts for the company.  Grainger's wellness efforts have received the highest distinction in worksite wellness programs, two time recipients of the GOLD Well Workplace award through the Wellness Council of America and was honored with the highest level award in 2002 ? PLATINUM.
