Yoga is an integral part of my life.  Since discovering yoga in my 20's,  it has grown as a presence in my life.  With a growing love for yoga, I  decided to make yoga a profession.  I have owned my own yoga studio for the past 3 years.  Teaching the people in my small community about the benefits of yoga is a pleasure.  It never feels like work.  Yoga is not only my job, but a way of life for me and my family.

I have also recently become a certified health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition at the State University of New York.  This is an eleven month program which certified me to coach individuals and groups in bettering their nutrition, exercise and lifestyle to promote wellness in the body.  I currently coach 5 clients in a 6 month program to improve their life by incorporating better health choices.  I frequently hold free seminars as well.

My family includes my wonderful husband, Mike, who operates a private real estate law practice in our small town.  We also have two beautiful daughters, Emory, 7, and Lou, 4, who enjoy it when I teach them "kids" yoga.  I do not hold a special certification in childrens yoga, but I enjoy teaching my children and their friends.  In addition to teaching yoga, I also homeschool our two girls.  We enjoy the flexibility it offers.  Traveling is a passion we all share and homeschooling allows us more time for exploration.

Other than teacing yoga and my children (3rd grade and pre-K), I enjoy selling real estate.  I have had a real estate license since 1996.  My parents own a real estate company and it has always been something I enjoy doing.  Real estate has been my primary career since I graduated from Mississippi State University in 1996.  Every member of my family is involved with the company.  It is truly a family affair.  My husband and I also lived in New York City for several years before having children.  I worked for Moody's Investors Service in their Commercial Real Estate Division in downtown Manhattan.  This time away from the South proved invaluable for us as young adults.  The diverse cultures and faster pace was a welcome change.

I look forward to the opportunity for my family to travel together while also teaching yoga.  Two things I feel passionately about. Thank you for this chance.
