Following my service in the Army I found myself pursuing a degree in Massage Therapy, which led the way into my health and fitness career. After completing an associates degree in Massage Therapy I was intregued by Thai Massage and immediately pursued continueing education in this area. A year later I was hired by Globe University to teach Thai Massage and from there was asked to teach several other modalities of massage as well. At the same time I pursued a bachelors degree in Health and Fitness and attained my ACE Personal Training certification as well as several other specialized certifications. This then led into me teaching classes in the Health and Fitness program in addition to the massage program. A large portion of my philosophies regarding training come from the Resistance Training Specialist and Muscle Activation Technique certifications that I completed while completing my undergraduate degree. The combination of biomechanics based exercise principles with the immediate assessment that is available through the use of Muscle Activation Technique has proven to be a very powerful combination when working with any client that can benefit from exercise.
