Nito Panganiban

I'm originally from Madison, WI and have also lived in Seattle and New Mexico, where I now reside. I have taught a variety of group exercise formats for the past 14 years. I'm an instructor at a top tier health club (New Mexico Sports and Wellness) where I currently teach kickboxing, intermediate and advanced step, and a class that combines step with bosu. My overall approach as an instructor is to provide a safe and fun class that is flexible enough so that the class participants are able to get the workout that they are seeking. Thus, I do my best to include beginners while still challenging those that demand more intense and complex workouts. I'm married and have a young son who will soon be 2 y.o. Aside from aerobics, I play competitive racquetball, enjoy hiking, backcountry skiing, and reading (when the kid allows it). In my real life (or maybe being a group exercise instructor is my real life) I'm a molecular biology professor at the U. of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. My lab studies the assembly and replication of several medically important viruses including HIV, hantavirus, and hepatitis C virus.
