Kelly Noeldechen

As many do, Kelly  began practicing yoga for the physical benefits.  She soon took on a deeper interest for the ancient practices, making hot yoga at SHY a daily part of her life, while discovering the spiritual benefits that accompanied the external gains.  Kelly  began her yoga teaching education through the Peaceful Warrior Teacher Training at SHY in Summer 2010 .  Wanting to continue her studies, she completed Vinyasa Teacher Training at Always At Aum Yoga School where she received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification.   In her trainings, Kelly found a deep interest in creating flowing sequences, studying energy systems, and reading philosophic yoga texts.  Kelly will complete a 40 hour Power Yoga training in Maya Tulum, Mexico with Bryan Kest, summer of 2013, in order to take her teachings to a new level. As an instructor, her classes focus on the importance of breath with alignment to find the inner strength that grows with one’s practice. She believes in a powerful and strong practice to build both physical and spiritual energy, while selecting music to encourage practitioners of all ages and abilities through their journey.  

Kelly is a middle school teacher and adjunct professor who attributes her experiences in these careers to helping her clearly express directions, give assistance to all clients, and therefore connect to her clients.  You will find Kelly often at SHY as she enjoys yoga on daily basis.  When she is not here, she frequents many NYC studios to not only improve her own practice, but to help further magnify the variety, vision, and expertise she bestows upon her students.
