In January 2013, after 10+ years of yoga self practice, I spent 15 days of immersive training in Costa Rica to complete my RYT 200 Hours Certification through The Marianne Wells Yoga Alliance School. I learned about the benefits of yoga: body, mind and spirit; and many basic poses, the different types of Yoga and breathing techniques. I was also introduced to the basic concepts and practices of Ayurveda, the yogic system of self knowledge and body maintenance (health practices). In addition, I am CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Program. I currently am a Yoga Instructor at LA Fitness in Roswell, GA.
