Laurel Lahaie

My interests in yoga and teaching have evolved over the course of the last five years.  Earlier this year, I decided to become an "official" teacher although I have been teaching beginners yoga to friends and family for the past two years.   Entering into this phase of life in my early forties has provided me with the tools to remain healthy and physically fit and to bestow a grounded and solid presence to students of all ages.  My medical background as a physician and surgeon provide me with an extensive background in biomechanics and anatomy which go hand in hand with yoga training.  My teaching style is easy to follow, uplifting and balancing and I have taught groups of all ages and body types.  I speak both Spanish and English fluently and can teach in either language.  I can also understand some French.  I enjoy traveling and have a flexible schedule which allows me to do so three months or so out of every year.
