Alexandria Edwards

My name is Alex Edwards, I am 19 years old, and have been practicing yoga for six years and teaching for one. After graduating from teacher training I taught classes at Jiva Yoga Center, and then when it came time to leave for school my sister and I began our own program called Mountaintop yoga. I have a love for teaching and getting people excited about staying healthy both physically and mentally! I currently am home for the summer and teaching two all levels classes and one hot yoga class a week, along with working at the studio and maintaining a lifeguarding job at the South Carolina Yacht Club. I have come to see how yoga is the great equalizer among age groups, and teaching at my home studio and also at my college has definitly developed my teaching style to be accessible to any and all age groups so that the benefits are universal. Being fit enough to enjoy life is something that motivates me and is what I hope to make possible for my students. Growing up I've been involved in just about every sport imaginable and bringing a joy for activity and positive thinking is what I aim to accomplish in my interactions with my students and coworkers!
