Alexandria Thornton

A native from Colorado, I grew up with a love for being active. From an early age, arm balances and meditation became a way to pass my time. In 2005 I graduated UCMT and became a certified massage therapist. I knew this would be a good start on getting a deeper look into the human body and what athletic performance can do for the muscles and human structure. After massaging for a few years I decided to deepen my education and take on the job to teach others on how to shape their bodies internally and externally. I became a certified yoga instructor in 2007. Over the years I have found my balance with both massage and yoga, incorporating the basic fundamentals of body alignment and how to use our breath as a tool for overall body success.

I make each practice exciting, finding ways to create new movement & balance. I utilize our breath to not only engage all core strength, but to help flow our bodies from pose to pose in & out of the studio. My teaching, like all yoga activates cellular tissue and increases the speed of muscle memory. I add in just enough spirituality to deepen my students "self" practice as well as their physical practice. I am a teacher for every'body' & continue to grow from inspiring my students & from my students inspiring me.

When I am out of the studio I am sharing my time with my husband & our 3 year old daughter.
