I am a 40 year old mother to two wonderful young adults and have been married to my loving military husband for the past 20 years. I have always been a very competitive person when it comes to sports and hobbies. I love to try new things and conquer my fears. I love to travel and explore new cultures. My favorite vacations have been the all inclusive vacations in the Carribean.
I recently had the opportunity to aquire a fitness studio and in the 7 months I have had the ownership I have doubled our membership. We offer an array of classes from low impact classes to high impact cardio classes as well as Zumba. I love what I do.
My life is motto is helping others build their fit bodies. I believe a healthy and fit person doesn't have to be a size 0 swimsuit model. You can be healthy and fit at a size 10 or a size 12 or a size 0. I teach my girls to love themselves and enjoy working out with their friends. I continue to give them advice and tips and suggestions as to what they can do in order to keep themselves on top of their workouts.
I was 60 lbs overweight and decided to take control of my body 5 years ago. I have been able to keep that weight off and continue my workout programs and enjoy them. I have done it with controlling what goes on my plate by choosing healthy foods rather than dipping my hand into a pill bottle for a "fast" weight loss. I have learned so much over the past several years about my own body and how it works and what it needs to fuel it.
I have never been a runner but at age 38 I ran my first half marathon. I have since ran several other races. I have participated in a 150 mile bike awareness race across Route 66 in Oklahoma at age 39.
I love my life and I love helping others get fit and healthy.
