ABOUT ME

Heidi's yoga is a playful yet strong and energetic flow of breath and movement that allows her to let go of physical and emotional tension resulting in a renewed sense of self and an ability to live harmoniously in the present moment.

To give back for the many gifts yoga as bestowed, she shares with a teaching style that radiates joy and gratitude while simultaneously challenging her practitioners to push both

physically and mentally into their ideal center between too much and not enough. "In such a fast paced and chaotic world," says Heidi, "yoga provides balance, self discovery and the ability to always find peace from within."

Heidi has been practicing yoga since 2005 with some of LA and Orange County’s finest teachers. She is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher pursuing her 500-hour teacher training through Loyola Marymount Univserity’s Yoga Therapy Rx Program.

She enjoys the simplicity and beauty of nature, world travel, wholesome food, art and design, adventures, and being a life long student of life.

Yoga therapy Rx is a is a holistic healing art, a marriage between Yoga therapy and complementary medicine. Rather than prescribe treatments, it invites presence and awareness.

Yoga therapy aims at the holistic treatment of various kinds of psychological or somatic dysfunctions ranging from back problems to emotional distress. Both approaches share an understanding of the human being as an integrated body-mind system, which can function optimally only when there is a state of dynamic balance. Yoga therapy is not only preventative, but curative. It can be a means to manage illness or facilitate healing. Medical research shows that Yoga therapy is among the most effective complementary therapies for several common aliments.
