I am currently teaching Cycling and Body Pump four times a week at the YMCA. I am also teaching Step Aerobics on Monday nights and taking a boot camp class. I take great pride in adjusting my teaching level to the skill level of my students, having fun and getting them to come back over and over again. My students love the fun and energetic style I bring to the classes.
I love to teach water aerobics. We have a lot of fun in my classes as we go around the pool creating fun dances and exercises to burn off those calories from the night before.
I also love to teach Body Pump which is a sculpting class put to fun energetic music. We can burn 400-600 calories in one class. That Rocks!
Cycling is one of my favorite classes. I make this somewhat challenging class fun by making my participants sing and dance on a bike.
Step aerobics has been around for centuries (I have been doing it since junior high). I love teaching this class because a person can really burn some calories. I teach a simple but sweaty class that has repetitive motions so beginners have a high success rate.
My job as an aerobics instructor is so much fun but it is not my only job. I have a Bachelorette degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Music. That broad job title simply means I am an Elementary Music teacher. Which I LOVE!
