I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. I have 3 brothers and a sister. My mother is/was one of my best friends. We shared a passion for teaching. Sadly, she passed away in 2009. As a child, I was a gymnast until the age of 14, then I was a cheerleader and on the swim team in High School. I always did well in school and knew I wanted to be a teacher. It is my passion. In college I fell in love with Group Fitness (Aerobics, as we called it back then). While at Brigham Young University I began training and studying to certify in Group Fitness. I also majored in Spanish teaching with a minor in Political Science. I went on to earn a Masters degree in Spanish with an emphasis in Pedagogy. Throughout my senior year of college and graduate school I taught Group Fitness classes. After graduation I moved to Las Vegas, NV and found a teaching position at Silverado High School. I also met my husband in Las Vegas who also has a great passion for fitness and sports. In 2000 we had our first child, a son, Tyler. In 2002 we moved to Texas. In 2003 we had our second child, a daughter, Cally. I love them so much. We learn and grow together every day. They are both very active, Tyler in football and Cally with gymnastics. I have been teaching High School and Group Fitness classes all along. My husband and I have recently divorced. We are good friends and are dedicated to our children and being the best parents we can. I love teaching fitness classes. In the last few years I have discovered new fitness formats and developed a special interest in Yoga. My goals are to continue teaching school and fitness and raise my children with love.
