I started my yoga practice in 2006, upon a recommendation from a very dear teacher of mine at the Aveda Institute. As an Esthetician, working on clients all day can be very strenuous on the body without some sort of yoga practice. What I didn't realize however, were the many various benefits yoga had to offer. After a two life transforming trips to India, I decided to delve further into the world of yoga by obtaining my 200 hour teaching certification in 2011. Aside from the physical benefits yoga has to offer, I believe yoga has made me a better listener, as well as a more positive and confident human being. From experience I can say yoga truly is it's meaning... the union of mind and body. I continue to grow and learn everyday through yoga, and I never want to stop this wonderful journey. Aside from being an Esthetician and teaching yoga, I am also a certified Reiki practitioner and an esthetics teacher at the Aveda Institute, where I remind my students the importance of taking care of their bodies through yoga along side the teacher that taught me that same important lesson.
