Russell Reeves

My name is Russell Reeves and I am an exercise enthusiast, personal trainer and group exercise instructor. I studied at the Johns Hopkins University where I gained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. During my time there, I became an ACE-certified personal trainer and worked with a wide variety of clients. I also started as a group exercise instructor teaching classes all the way from bootcamp to speedrope. At the same time I was an active ROTC cadet and used a lot of the same flavors, exercises and principles learned from the Army to help excite and motivate my class participants.

After graduation, I started to perform biomedical research at the Johns Hopkins Hospital full time and also worked part time as a personal trainer at Brick Bodies. There I worked exclusively one-on-one with clients working towards their fitness objectives. I also was instrumental in implementing and designing a variety of programs in both physical choreography as well as marketing design.

I moved to a different location after one year to ease my working commute and switched gyms to work at the Canton Club. There I began as a group exercise instructor, leading participants through a class called, "Power Flex", which is a weight-based class designed to tighten and tone all of the major muscle groups in the body. Soon after I built a large client base as well as began to teach and sub for a wide variety of classes that included plyometrics, choreography, kickboxing and kettle bell lifting.

Currently I am moving to New Hampshire to begin school at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth to earn my doctorate. I am currently looking into teaching group exercise classes at the local facility at Dartmouth.
