After being diagnosed with Lupus in 1997 and having multiple health issues, I decided to take control of my life and my health. I started doing yoga on a regular basis and immediately started feeling all the fantastic benefits. I then joined Goodlife Fitness and started attending hot yoga classes when the studio downtown opened in 2010. I fell in love!

 

Yoga has been an important component in my treatment and greatly alleviates many symptoms of the disease while minimizing the hold Lupus once had on my life. In fact, the benefits have been so extraordinarily positive that I have since attended the 200+ Yoga Teacher Training to further my practice so I may use my knowledge and experiences to “pay it forward.”

 

Hot yoga has increased my mobility, flexibility and also provides pain relief. It relaxes and de-stresses me while keeping me fit, toned, energized and feeling positive.  Hot yoga also has other great benefits such as flushing toxins from your body and elevating your heart rate for a great cardiovascular workout.
