Kavaljeet Kaur
‘Yoga is the key to access my mind, body and soul.’
The migration towards Yoga was a gradual one for Kavaljeet Kaur. The demands of changing cities and working in a corporate sector drove her towards Yoga and intrinsic ability to provide inner peace to an individual. What started as a form of personal expression and relief gradually transformed into a career as Kaval wished to share the same joy she felt with others.
During this period of of self discovery and evaluation in her life, Yoga has lead to a transformation of her thoughts, action and speech. The four Parikarmas of yoga, that is: Maitri(friendliness), Karuna (compassion), Mudita (goodwill), Upeksha(acceptance) are deeply ingrained in her thinking. The ritual of rolling the mat and connecting with her inner self allows for solace in our sensory overloaded days. It allows her to have a bigger heart one of sharing, giving and making a difference in the world.
Kaval has been teaching a warm and wonderful community of people, of all ages from 7yrs to 70 yrs. Being a Health educator, yoga instructor and a happy person, the journey so far has been the most fulfilling and YogCafe is an attempt of hers to spread the same joy to as many people as possible.
Kaval is an exponent of Ashtanga Yoga. She loves to lead her students through a series of asanas that flow from one into the next, synchronizing with the breath. Also, she gently keeps a check on her students to focus on the bhavas of Jnana , Dharma, Vairagya and Aishvarya with each posture. Her ultimate aim it to take the student through the rigor of Ahstanga Yoga so that he or she undergoes a journey of self discovery and makes them aware of inner workings, just like it happened to her.
