- Karen Kwass
200 hour Kripalu certified yoga teacher, has enjoyed yoga for over 20 years. After receiving a black belt in Uechi-Ryu karate and developing chronic plantar fasciitis she turned to yoga in effort to heal herself. Dedicated to a daily practice for the last six years she experienced the healing and transformative powers of yoga. She sensed the need to study yoga further and embarked on a month-long immersion teacher training, and is now continuing to study further in a 500- hour teacher training program.
A social worker, mother of two, and active community volunteer, Karen guides gentle and moderate Hatha and Vinyasa yoga classes in a safe and supportive environment allowing students to go inwards and explore themselves. She brings joy, compassion, an awareness of her students, and an ability to adapt or modify postures in effort to meet individual needs.
