Rebecca Rockey

Rebecca started her life as a fitness professional almost eight years ago as a freshman at Penn State Universiity.  There, she became a group fitness instructor after completing the Instructor Training Program under the leadership of Jill Garrigan.  She also played on the club field hockey team.

After graduating with degrees in Economics, French, and International Studies, Rebecca moved to Washington, DC, where she started teaching for a local, privately-owned gym called Fitness First and later Gold's Gym.  (Fitness First was bought by Gold's in June 2013.)  Her most popular classes include kickboxing, interval/HIIT training, tabata training, bootcamp, step, and various muscle conditioning/CORE classes.  Rebecca teaches indoor cycling, as a Schwinn-certified instructor, at Revolve.

In January 2013, Rebecca started a fitness company called B Rock Fit, LLC, to better serve her clients who were seeking a more personalized experience with the same group dynamic of her othe classes.  She launched her first bootcamp in the spring of 2013 and is preparing to launch her second program.

Rebecca is certified as a group instructor by the American Council on Exercise and as a Tabata Bootcamp instructor by Savieer Fitness.  She is a member of the IDEA Health & Fitness Association.  She is currently working on her personal trainer certification with the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) and on her MMA specialty certification.  She also expects to get her aqua certification through ISFTA in September 2013.

Rebecca continues to play field hockey with the USFHA Washington Field Hockey Assocation team.
