At Performance I assist the head strength coach Chris Dubois by leading Movement (acceleration and agility) sessions, and by coaching athletes through corrective exercises assigned to them following a movement screen. We discuss articles weekly written by the best in the business (Gray Cook, Charlie Weingroff, etc) to help better us as trainers. The time I've spent here has been very educational and has helped me discover my true passion in athletics.
Work Experience:
Courthouse Fitness
300 Glen Creek Rd, Salem, OR 97302
At Courthouse I work as a part-time personal trainer, a "flexibility trainer" (fascial stretch), a group exercise instructor, and help with membership. I have enjoyed seeing the change in my clients and working with some of the best trainers and strength coaches in the area. I have grown in many ways here, learning to train athletes and help with injury prevention and working full-time now as a stretch therapist; correcting and helping the general membership crowd, athletes, and people post-PT. I help train and design larger group workouts as well as digging deeper and working one-on-one with clients seeking life changes.
