I worked in theater as a lighting designer for years, and came to Pilates through a friend. I have been studying and working in Pilates since 2001, and was certified in 2003 (see above). I currently reside in Grand Junction, Colorado, which is on the western slope of the Rockies. Since 2005, I have provided Pilates services to the community through private lessons as well as group classes. I am outfitted with Pilates equipment including 3 reformers, a traditional cadillac, a split pedal Wunda chair, a ladder barrel, and a Pedi-pole. I also have Triadballs, magic circles and other props to make the classes more fun! I have seen a myriad of clients types come through my door, and find that every body has a need for Pilates. Most individuals have some sort of habitual movement that has caused pain (i.e. sitting at a computer, cycling, skiing, etc) and Pilates can help that pain disappear.
I love to teach, especially beginners and am hoping for a way to help myself stay motivated and strong in my own practice by changing the scenery in my life. It's a lonely Pilates practice here in the middle of nowhere!!
