Fitness is a huge part of my life. I grew up a competitive swimmer and competed at Provincial, Junior National and National levels within the sport. Upon completion of my swimming career I was introduced to group fitness classes (as I had to broaden my horizons not being in the pool anymore!). I instantly loved the classes and was inspired to acquire my certification. As soon as I started teaching basic group fitness I was hooked! I then attained cycling and yoga certifications in addition to my FIS qualifications. I take every opportunity to attend fitness workshops of interest AND I attend the Can-Fit-Pro conference in Toronto every year! My favourite thing about being a fitness instructor is having the satisfaction of enabling othes to have fun and do something great for their bodies! A simple smile or a thank you after a class is well worth the effort :o).
