To Whom It May Concern:,

I would like to formally express my interest in the Tennis Professional position with the your facility. The opportunity presented in the description sounds very appealing, and I believe that my knowledge and experience in the tennis industry will make me a competitive candidate for this opening.  I can be available immediately.

As you will see in my resume, my background mirrors the qualities an experienced instructor should possess.  I have been teaching tennis for over 20 years after playing on the ATP tour and then coaching in the WTA.  In 2004, I completed the USTA High Performance Certification course in Cincinnati and continue to attend seminars to ensure that my credentials are kept as current as possible, while also allowing me to interact and collaborate with other pros.  I have had the opportunity to work with national and sectional ranked players and have helped several juniors secure college scholarships.  I truly care about each individual’s personal and athletic achievements and feel that this type of passion only motivates me to be the best tennis professional I can be.  I pride myself in offering unique and fun activities and always strive to find new ways to teach concepts regardless of a player’s age or ability.

Not only have I been entrusted to develop top-notch junior programs, but I am able to successfully do so while being a team player for the facility.  I am always involved in adult USTA coaching duties, organizing special events, coordinating tournaments, marketing and promoting programs, maintaining courts and pro-shop, and stringing responsibilities.

I am prepared to make a real impact for you, the members, and for your facility.  I am seeking a full-time position that will allow me to have career stability for many years to come, especially working for High Performance Juniors.  I feel this is where I excel, making this position a perfect match. Please review my attached resume for a more detailed view of my experiences and how I can apply them to meet your immediate needs.

Feel free to contact me so I can address any questions you may have and to discuss how we may mutually benefit one another.  I can be reached at (865) 313-1153 [email protected].  I really appreciate being considered for this job and would be pleased to join your staff and reputable program.

Sincerely,

Arnold Wehrenberg
