Teaching 2 sections of wellness/fitness to Exercise Science Majors as an elective course. Along with teaching aerobics I will be assessing fitness levels and grading fitness journals throughout the semester. I will also be hosting a charity event that the students will have to assist in organizing.
Lutheran Social Services 2/4/2013-present
I left SCAN in 2/2013 to take a full time position for The Network for Safe Families as a case manager at Lutheran Social Services operating in the same program. I was able to continue working with the same clients I just was offered full time hours there where at SCAN they only had part time hours available.
Max Fitness 7/4/2013-present
Instructor for group fitness classes at two locations and also part-time at the third as needed. Was offered these positions by management team upon the aquisition of American Health.
SCAN 12/17/2012-2/1/2013
Case Manager for the Network for Safe Families. Provided case management in home for families at risk of abuse or neglect of their children.
American Health Fitness 2011- 7/2013
Group Fitness Instructor at multiple locations leading 8 classes per week. Also spent additional time working with members in goal setting to approve the quality of life for the individual, nutritionally and physically.
YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne 2012-present
Group fitness instructor geared towards middle school aged childre encouraging health and wellness. I am also on staff to provide group fitness at local business’s (Swiss Re). Was chosen to participate in training course to aqurie AFFA Personal Training Liscense.

Lead group exercise classes (Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning, Zumbatomic, Personal Training, Strength/Endurance and Body Pump), personal life coaching, Reiki Therapy and Thai Body Massage Therapy. Also teach and certify Reiki Therapy – levels 1, 2 and Masters Certifications. Have organized and hosted numerous charity/fundraising events (i.e. Zumbathon for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness).
SCAN 2007-2010
Held three positions which included the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Began as Family Support Worker where I did in home visits with families at risk of abusing or neglecting their children. While working with these families I would assist in developing positive parenting techniques, learning how to set goals, how to achieve success in completing goals, and learning how to identify and use community resources to enable long term independence. Also while employed by SCAN I held a position as an assessment worker and case manager for the Network for Safe Families at SCAN. I would meet with families to assess the immediate needs of the family and assign a case manager that would best suit the family, from time to time I would act as the case manager if and when necessary. While at SCAN I was asked to take part in a leadership program to advance my career and I was also asked to speak to board members regarding the programs at SCAN and how we were helping our community.
