Ian is a yoga instructor, registered nurse, and public health professional. He was initially drawn to the spiritual elements of yoga, and found emotional and physical benefits in the practice. His teaching is inspired by a 200-hour Training in the Yoga of Energy Flow led by Daniel Orlansky, Aaron Cantor, and Carrie Tyler. Ian has completed advanced yoga anatomy training with Dr. Stephanie Marango at PURE Yoga NYC and RX Series training with Jill Miller at Equinox. He is a certified intenSati Leader. intenSati, developed by Patricia Moreno, combines high-energy, total-body training with powerful, positive statements that you either think or speak. Similar to yoga, the goal of the intenSati practice is to enable a seamless and total integration of body and mind, allowing you to be and experience all you deeply want. Joining asana, pranayama, practical philosophy and music, Ian invites you to disconnect from your thinking mind and reconnect with your physical body as you practice. His classes focus on strengthening and lengthening the body, and you are guaranteed to release and renew. Ian values physical fitness, emotional and spiritual wellness, and hopes you will reach your full potential for self-care! In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, travel, and volunteering as an educator for healthcare providers in Africa.
