Kaitlyn Shumilak

My name is Kaitlyn Shumilak, I am East Selkirk Manitoba born and raised, graduated from The Comp in 2005 and set out to take on the world! I travelled far and wide living in all parts of the world (well kinda) - Germany, Veirgina, Calgary, Ontario, Winnipeg, Back to Selkirk, Back to WInnipeg, Back to Selkirk and so on... in no particular order. 

All the while I was searching for my "passion" my "purpose" my big "WHY!" 

I always felt I was destined for more! so I never settled for less than I thought that "MORE" was... I have had more than 26 jobs in 26 years - because that's all they ever were to me... jobs. From portrait studio manager to furniture detail-er to actress to roofing contractor! I have done it all! Why bother with a "career" when I can just do it all, commit to nothing, and pick up and go whenever I so desired! 

Well on July 4th 2012 came my why... My beautiful baby girl Lily J. was born and it was time to step up, focus, and commit to giving her the best life possible - just as my parents did for me. 

I was always a fitness enthusiast and in decent shape most of my life - with the obvious fluctuations here and there - I had been a gymnast for 16 years and coaching gymnastics was one of my many "jobs" in life that I truly did love as it held a part of me. I had done some basic simple personal training for friends and co-workers on the side and loved to see them work hard, sweat, be committed, and reach outstanding goals! Well didn't that just fit perfectly... a career that I LOVE, have a PASSION for, and creates a positive impact not only on my family but on my clients, their families, and on the community! 

Long story short - I am a Diploma Certified Personal Trainer through The National Council on Strength & Fitness, I am committed to my clients, my fitness class members and their goals. I have created a life and a business to enable every person to have a way to commit to living a healthy and fit life by providing whatever tools, resources, and education they may want or seek. As well as providing a community & family friendly atmosphere where you can bring your kids, make friends, and let me kick your butt so you get amazing results! 

I am very excited to be a part of this community, to bring like minded people together to strive and work towards the same purpose - Living Healthy, Living Fit, Living Happy!
