Beth Dobson is a Registered Massage Therapist, a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist, and Certified Yoga Teacher. She graduated from Kine Concept Massage Therapy School 2500 hrs Course in June of 2003, and joined the Association of New Brunswick Massage Therapists where she continues to be an active member.
Beth had a very distinct vision of the health care that she wanted to provide the public which is centered on making preventative lifestyles and habits with her clients as well treating existing pain issues. She shared this vision with Johanne Gagne RMT with whom she opened Clinic Masso-Soma Therapy Inc in October of 2003, where there is a large focus on pre and post natal massage.
In the spring of 2005 Beth traveled to Montreal’s, Palm Lotus School of Thai Yoga Massage where she completed two levels of Ayurveda and Thai Yoga Massage Therapy; a passive form of yoga which also includes acupressure, and massage. It was through this course that Beth was lead to a deeper practice of Yoga for herself which then lead her to take her 200 hrs Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Style which she completed in April of 2007. She also completed her Pre-Natal Yoga Teacher Training in May of 2008.
Since her graduation from Kine Concept Beth has continued to educate herself in other modalities such as Reflexology, Soft Tissue Release, Accupressure, Hula Hoop Dance, Pilates and Core Stabilization. Beth enjoys working with and teaching the anatomy of massage and yoga. “It is about connecting the mind, the body and the spirit, a lot of people do not live in that harmony and don’t understand or listen to what their body is trying to tell them. Once we are aware of our body and it’s subtle messages we can figure out where pain is coming from, or better yet prevent, it from ever coming. We are also more capable of handling stress both physically and mentally and we can enjoy our lives in balanced way.”
